MORGANTOWN -- Saturday morning, more than 100 kids got to try their hand at reeling in the big one. Cabela's King Cat Kids Fishing Rodeo was held at Dixon Lake in Monongalia County. This is the second year for the fishing contest for children 12 and under. Some kids caught more than 100 fish. Saturday's rodeo is now the largest Cabela's King Kat Kids Rodeo in the country. "The area is really interest in the outdoors and I think its great we had 86 last year and 105 this year and I think that breaks the record in Alabama," Charlie Huguenard, with sponsor Longview Power said. "Anytime kids are involved in a sport such as fishing we like to welcome them and hopefully they will be hooked for life," Joe McGurn of Cabela's said. The kids event took place while 40 anglers were on the Monongahela River for the Cabela's King Kat Tournament.
