We all know this insane red eyed fish that will bite anything and gives us a thrill for about 5 seconds thinking its our next lunker until we realize its about 9 ozs. What I want to know is what is the most ridiculous lure you have caught them on. My experience was catching one on a 1/2 oz spinner bait, the bass was the size of my hand!

The little ones are just a bunch of big mouth eating machines or something.   The bigger ones starting about 9 inches can be quite difficult to catch.

i've caught rockies on a 12" shiner, i was fishing for pick and they weren't much bigger than the shiner
