Hey everybody, long time no see. Seems like I hardly come around these parts anymore, NAHC's got me kept busy! Anyway, here's my question: I'll be going on vacation soon and the lake I will be fishing is chock full of bass, crappie, perch, bluegill, bullhead, and trout, plus others that I may not know about. My question is, what are some great lures that can be used for the multiple species of fish I listed? I can guess that bullhead is the outlier, as they are the only kind that live on the bottom. I've had sucess with Daredevils, Mister Twisters, Swiss Swings, and Panther Martins, plus worms and corn. Oh, and I like simple baits, I'm a laid back kind of fisherman. Cast, retreive, cast, retreive. Thank you!

I must admit it would help if we knew the general area you are going to.....but at the same time....fish in ONE lake...connected to ANOTHER lake...CAN act differetly than the SAME species of fish in the other lake. How soon are you going on vacation? |

pick yourself up some stik-os dont shell out the extra 3 bucks and get gary yamamoto, a worm is a worm.
Get yourself some finesse worms, and some float worms
I texas rig everything, but a wacky rig you might find works for you ( i hate wacky).
I notice if the water is clear, or stained a little green use gold hooks. for some reason i get ALOT more strikes with gold hooks than anything else.

I would advise using an Original Floating Rapala or Jointed Rapala for the bass, trout, crappie, and perch. You may want to use live bait for Bluegill and bullhead. TIGHT LINES! |
