I like to make a portable live well. The item I'm using is a storage box with lid. The box size is Top length 27.25" Bottom length 26" Top width is 17" and Bottom width is 15.25"and 15" deep it is a 31 Gallon! So I already have the pump and PVC pipes and hoses 1" OD, I seen videos of ice chest live wells and then a trash can and then a homemade wood box with fiberglass!
What I want to do is not cutting holes in the hull of my boat. also keep the fish cool with water spray and oxygen for relieving  the fish of stress. I will be releasing them before leaving the lake! So I need is step by step instructions. Don't want to make a mistake again!
    Thanks
    Dennis

Sounds like you are way ahead already.  Personally, I like and use the ice chest concept.  Here in the deep South we have to constantly deal with heat.  A well insulated ice chest works wonders at keeping fish alive and can serve as an extra seat if needed.  I cut small hole in the bottom of my larger boat (off shore).  They make a small insert for the hole that when you are running it allows fresh water in and out of your live well without using energy from your batteries, etc.  Ample enough for live well and bait tanks.  Also, you may want to rig a little larger pump which will allow you to hose down floor while coming in.  Most of these ideas are meant for large lakes or ocean going boats.  Don't have any blue prints or step by step ideas.  Good luck and good fishing. I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

Tom, I know what you are speaking about disable, I'm on SSD since 2008 due to operation on neck that didn't take and then the doctor Perm. Disabled my voice box. I heard that lowe's has a large ice chest. I'll have to check it out first! But it makes me very Leary in drilling a hole in the bottom of the hull! I have this other boat and I put a L/W in a spot where the previous owner had and I added pipping and pumps an timers and drilled 2 holes on the side. One was a over flow and the other is the circulate then the original hole is intake! Well by the time I was finished no room for the fish!
    Thank You
    and God Bless

I thought you guys might really like this if you are into building your own livewells. or converting a boat in to a fishing machine. This is a very interesting and informative video on members conversions to their Jon Boats turning them into real bass fishing machines step by step. Pretty cool. Tight lines, Enjoy. Steve Click Here
