I bought an old 1974 2hp Johnson at an auction a few weeks ago. The carburetor was gummed up so I replaced it with one I had. I have dozens. It fired right up but I didn't see any water spitting out. After doing a little research I have learned they do not have a weep hole so I'm not sure how to check the water pump. I do have an infrared thermometer but have no clue where to check or what the reading should be. I did read they run a little hotter then other engines.

It is for sale
