well was at the lake during the week and was fishing the handicap dock in the evening . was using a little jig called gitzit, and a tiny tube. we were casting into the light that shine on the water, maybe a couple of feet further. we were catching 3lb crappies and 3 to 4lb bass. it was awsome. cast it out wait three seconds and started to retrieve, jerking every so often, and bang another one on. good news though released all fish back. didn't have any luck on catfish, not even one bite. well see you all out there next time.

quite a drive but sounds like it could be worth it. what motor restrictions do they have for boats?

Well made the trip over to patagonia with the boat for a nice day of fishing. When i got there the ranger told me only the one boat launch was open and it was at my own risk to launch the boat. the lake is at its lowest that i have seen in a long time. I never got the boat in the water couldn't get the trailer deep enough in the water to get it off or light enough to pust it of the the running boards. Fishing was still a good day catfish were biting on chicken livers or blood dough balls on either side of the swimming area. caught a few bass on worms from the shore, over by the large island. Hope we get some rain here soon I hate seeing the lake so low.
