The Banjo Minnow seems to be one of those love/hate kind of baits. Some folks swear they aren't worth spit and others love them. I have heard that you have to fish them exactly the way the video recommends. You may be able to save yourself some money buying them through BPS. Tom |

I have not used the new/current Banjo 06 Minnow kit. I have used the original Banjo Minnow kit for several years and did not catch anything. I'm sure that if I continue using it, I would eventually catch something. However there are many other lures that work so much more effectively. My opinion is that it's a more of a toy rather than a tool. |

I agree with bass or bass. There are way better swimbaits on the market and you don't have to use a special rig to use them. |

Those things you see on infomercials are vastly over priced. You could get good swimbait from your local bait shop for just a few bucks. TIGHT LINES! |

My brother bought the Banjo Minnow..... I got a headache looking at all the crap that came in the package. I took 5 minutes to rig one. Waste of time to get the same action you would out of a swimbait or fluke |

Fishfearme (who used to post on here) likes the things, says he nose hooks them and uses them on dropshot. He also said he got his out of the trash. I reckon that means someone else didn't use them and got rid of them. My dad bought a couple sets and never even tried them, I have them now. Some have mentioned that the hooks are very lightweight and have had fish bend them. The one time I treid them out, I tried to hook up the rubber bands for weedlessness and could not get it to work. I didn't catch anythng on them but nothing else worked for me either so I cannot consider that a fair test. I will admit I have to get out more often so I can wear out some stuff. |
