I was fishing for Smallmouth Bass on the Huron River with a dry fly.  No success the whole day and at the few minutes I hook a giant shiner.  If they kept records for shiner, I'm sure it would have been a state record.  I took a picture of it with a disposable camera, but it didn't turn out.  The fish was about thirteen inches long.  Biggest shiner I've ever seen!  Has anyone else caught shiner with dry flies?
