A picture would help. How big? fresh or salt? What color?

Post it in your avatar and then change it back!

Put the picture on a photo site.  copy the link, post the link in between the code below.

First part to open picture link:  [ ]  with img between brackets
Second part to put link between
Third part to close picture link: [ ] with /img between brackets

    Looks like {img}picture link{/img}

You have to replace the squiggly brackets with straight brackets.

Since your using photobucket, there should be some link options just below photobucket. There should be four of them and I believe it's the last one on the bottom of those options.  IMG code.

copy the code that's in the box and paste it.

I would check with your Park District and see if they are aware of this fish. It may be an aquarium reject that needs to be removed. Tom

That definately is an asian carp. Looks like a Bighead or Silver Carp. Carp don't have teeth though, so I have don't think that it's a carp at all.  Did it look like this:
    Hypophthalmichthys nobilis
    picture from CAFS

    or this
    Hypophthalmichthys molitrix
    picture from CAFS

Possibly a species of buffalo?? I know most often buffalo are referenced as having "weakly developed pharyngeal teeth" but maybe this one has a more developed set of teeth due to an environmental factor? But I do not know if they are normally considered an aggressive fish

Buffalo are quite like carp, non-agressive.

Sorry, KeganBailey but I could not pass it up after that great picture.  I am sure beyond any doubt that is a monster "Trash Fish! --possibly a Record of Sorts!  Looked like at least a X-tra large trash bag--say, about 80 quarts.  Did you get it weighed on certified scales?  "Certified Scales" might be a good idea for a test from NAFC.  Bass Pro Shops might consider running a special on those X-tra duty fish bags or at least give a 10 % discount to Life & Trophy  Members.  Uncle Tom
    Good luck and good fishing!
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

The picture quality is too poor for any ID other than 'fish'. I am unaware of any carp species that has teeth, and also have yet to find an agressively feeding carp. Tom

Need to know what quarter of which state, saltwater or freshwater, and always provide tail fin view along with length.
