I recently turned 16 years old. I was looking forward to my birthday because as my present i was to go on a guided fishing trip on Lake Ontario. To my displeasure this trip was canceled do to weather. I decided the weather wasnt going to stop me from fishing so decided to go to my favorite spot, a pond near my house. I was fishing with my two best friends and had caught 2 pounders all day. I started using a bass pro lazer eye spinner bait and was burning it and letting it flutter down and a monster struck a seven pound bass. the picture is my is to the left.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & CONGRATULATIONS ON GREAT FISH!  One of the great lessons of life.  Sometimes when things don't start out like you want them doesn't mean they won't turn out even better.  Trip canceled equals a real "lunker".  I am so proud of you!!!  Looks like you are the new bass pro in your area.  Things have been a little slow for me lately.  I think I'll take a lesson from you and start burning a few spinner baits, stop and let it drift down.  What color was that spinner bait by the way?  I really look forward to being in the club with you.  If you ever down in Georgia look me up and we can hang out together.  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

That is a great catch! I've got a birthday coming up and hope to land a few myself. That's a bummer that your trip was canceled but you seem to have made the best of it. Happy birthday

Thats pretty coll about starting your lure company, that sounds like something I may aspire to do. But spending time with your family is a great thing. Sounds like God has blessed u and your family very much. Go has blessed me too and my family. Also when fishing is really tough I have found a little prayer doesn't hurt

If I  am ever in Georgia ill look U up and the spinner bait was chartreuse and white. It had a big gold willow blade and  a little Colorado(Nickel).  And it was only three bucks lol.
