Well my mixture of flour, corn meal, garlic salt, frozen blood worms works, I guess. I use it on a regular trot line on shore and when i came back the whole line and bait was gone from where I threw it was gone the water isn't but a 1 1/2 to 2 ft deep! then I put some in a minnow trap I made and caught a 5 in fish of some sort, it is trout shaped but it has a black stripe going down both sides and its mouth resembles a sunfish. If I had a camera I would have caught picture. I know this isn't much info but do you think you could help me figure out what it is? I live in Georgia and I fish a stream the branches of the northern part of Chattahoochee. Thanks. If I catch another one I will get more description.

VWEEKS  Probably, a shiner.  Glad to hear somebody from Georgia is fishing.  That Chatahoochee is something else.  The creeks and branches flowing into it ought to be full of fish especially during the spawning season.  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

Oh yeah. The recent rain brought up a river otter or a muskrat into the small stream I fish. It almost scared the living daylights out of me!

One day last year I found that a muskrat was following my spinnerbait. Been there!
