i have 4 yaks . all  of them are considered good . the one i use the most is my Heritage 14' redfish . after one of  my outings , i noticed a stress crack between my seat pan and the first scupper hole . i called my local dealer in temple tx . (heart of texas kayaks) , sent them pics and my warranty . they took what i had to heritage , and heritage decided to replace the yak . yes , i am very pleased with the service in which heritage takes care of their customers .  i am posting this message for all of those who just bought one , or thinking of buying one . if a company offers a warranty on their product , don't wait , fill it out . it will fill good to know that your product is backed by a company who believes in what they produce .  just my two cents ....

I'm glad you got that resolved. Do you know what caused the cracks?

no , i don't .  i did my normal wash down after a fishing trip ,  and noticed a crack . i thought they would just repair it , but they decided to replace it . my kayak dealer said she would cut out the section with the crack and send it in . i guess run test on it to find out why and how to prevent future ones . i would post a pic of it on here , but i can't find the add a pic button .

Thats inpressive, you don't see that kind of service too often anymore. Thanks for the lead if I decide on buying a yak.
