Tell us about the whole encounter with the Snake head fish--I would like to know more?  Probably, should report the catch to the PA DNR.  I'm sure they would be interested in the fish and where you caught it.  It gives me goose bumps every time I read about these invasive fish.  Who knows, the invasive number continues to grow--one day they may destroy sport fishing completely.  Looking forward to hearing more Joconner.  Thanks for sharing.  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

I was watching 'river monsters' on Animal Planet today and one of the show was on the bullseye snakehead in florida. They were in an asian market talking with the owner who said they are good eating. The florida game commission is convinced they were intentionally released to be harvested later as there is a demand for them in the asian community. It is believed to have healing properties much like the famous Jewish Penicillin, chicken soup.

Didn't know they were this far north.  I'm in CT.  Best bet, kill it and use it for bait, or take it home and try some of that asian home remedy.  See if it works.
