Hows the fishing down there in the deep south

Fishing has slowed down some here in the deep South.  They are catching a good many big tarpon around the barrier islands and in the bays primarily on live bait.  Red fish are doing fair.  Regulations against bottom fishing have pretty much shut it down for the time being.  Guys are beginning to catch some of those great Georgia wild shrimp and a few flounder.  With this kind of heat many resort to catching shark which are plentiful.  Some good Largemouth Bass are being caught early and late.  With the moon getting ready to fill up the night sky, it should create some good bass fishing at night.  Pan fish are being caught in the river and some small ponds.  Flatheads are doing well in the rivers as they are falling a little.  The heat and humidity are the big factor right now.  I've talk to several who messed around and got dehydrated.  You can't drink enough water & Gatorade and the fish are in the shade so why not fish in the shade and dress appropriately.  Good luck!  Uncle Tom
