    ocoasianaly i go 4 cat fish but where i fish the r usualy in the lillie pads how do i not get stuk

    In your situation you might have to play the fish quickly to prevent it from getting tangled up.

    In that case you may have to cast your bait directly into gaps in the lily pads.  Good luck!

    A bobber is probably not the best choice for fishing thick lily pads. Try a drop shot style of rig with a heavy sinker below the hook or a slip sinker rig. Use just enough weight to get your bait through the pads. You will need to use some fairly stout line, the fish always make a break for the thickest cover and often you will need to drag them out. Tom

    use a heavy test. like someone else said try and move the fish quickly through the lillies. dont be scared to rip up on the pole good luck
