does anyone else feel there is a need for a cooler seperate from their food and drinks for storing their worms,& keeping them fresh all day?  i am working on an idea that so far has held temps suitable for them all day in full sun with outside temps ranging from 80's up thru 100!  i am looking for opinions as to whether or not persue this father or just be happy keeping our bait alive for us.   thanks & looking forward to seeing other thoughts on this

That to me is a great concept and I would love to see what you come up with. I often share my bait with folks I fish with and have had problems in the past with dirt in my cooler. Some people just can't grasp the concept of removing the container from the cooler, take a worm and then REPLACE IT! If you end up with a prototype that needs evaluation I would like to volunteer. I always have a food and drink cooler and a bait cooler on my fishing trips. I just don't like bait in with my food and drinks. Also, keeps the ice gel packs from melting as quickly by not opening and closing  the same cooler the whole trip every time you want bait or a drink.

thanks guys i was starting to think we might be the only ones using live worms anymore.... i am really trying to sort thru patents to verify not infringing. but mostly needing to know if there is trully a market for such an item im in texas and hot days are pretty normal here. biggest obstacle i have is like most everyone else $$$ patent attorney is out of my range. not sure i can create the wording correctly just go read a patent!?!? confusing legal stuff or what was that! anyway i could use more replies to feel like i need to continue down this path. thanks again to those replies so far, and ,oh yeah sounds like some people never heard of cross-contamination!!! danny

like you should go for it. it's a pretty good product and i think alot of people will buy it in texas cuz it is kinda hot there. sometimes you just have to go out there and try it who knows it could be a popular thing someday.
