Okay i was thinking about trying to start a new club at my high school. i was thinking of an outdoors club that involves hunting, fishing and just nature in general. For the club, we could share stories and pictures of our adventures and talk about recent events in the news about outdoors. for example: world records caught, new species found etc. I was also thinking that if people get different subscriptions to magazines everyone could pool thier information together and we could have a comunal pile of information. we could also share tips and techniques. overall i think we could do alot and it would be fun. So, please write your opinion. i want to see what everyone thinks of it before i go through the long process at my school of trying to get the club. you could also suggest other ideas. i just wanted to ask now at the beginning of the school year so by next year the club will be up and running. thanks in advance

I think you have a great idea! If I can make a suggestion, if your HS does not already have one, make it an 'Outdoors and Conservation" club and incorporate some ecology into the mix. Remember that if outdoorsmen don't do what they can to preserve the environment, where will we hunt and fish down the line? It is our outdoors to preserve and the outdoorsmen need to take the lead.
