I've been fishing Maltby Lake for several years and have had great luck.  I've caught Largemouth Bass, Rock Bass, Black Crappie, and Bluegill out of the lake.  I've spotted some fish that I think are Grass Pickerel, but I'm not sure.  I doubt they're young Northern Pike, because I've never spotted an adult in the lake.  Anyone have any tips or knowledge on this lake?

not i......and it sounds like that what they might be -- pickerel -- when ya see them are they close to shore in the reeds and such? if so then that is most likely what they are.

I see those Pickerel from about 10-12 feet from shore, in around 2-3 feet of water.  They're usually around dense weeds and under lilie pads.
