I looked at the towel that we all got the first year I attended.  I was shocked to realize that 5 years have passed since then.  Lazarus I still remember how it was.  What a wonderful time after so much sorrow.  This year should be just a wonderful time.

Looks like spring is right around the corner .. After 35 months of unemployment at the moment...I can't guarantee that I will be there  and sscasteel and turnip are both in limbo too  but we're NOT giving up just yet   

I chatted with Walt (Illinoiz Boyz) on FB earlier this evening...and he's going to try to come up for the weekend too

HOPEFULLY...good Lord willing...we'll ALL be able to make it a special Meet...and we don't get "Micro'd" again LOL!

Went out to the big pond with Catfish Cindy, cousin Tom, Storyteller & Getdanet for salmon on a charter. We did pretty good. with a limit of 25 fish we got 22. All COHO. I'll bring some pix to La Crosse this summer. Can't wait to see you all again.

No  did not mean to imply that at all    I was hinting  hoping that maybe one of them would bring along one of those GRAPE pies that we hear so much about   LOL    


Seeing how you brought it up  plan on  Thursday night again for the pie eating contest

If Turnip is't there we all might get to have some pie. Although, I might give mine up to have him there.

I might try the pie contest if there is a chocolate pie to munch on. Since I have lost 23 lbs from Nov. 2010, I May not be able to eat it all even with a partner.

Haven't given up hope yet to be there in July. Have finished my Bankruptcy proceedings and am free to start my life over. Selling some fishing stuff now and will try to hold a sale in May and June to get enough $$ to make it to the 2011 meet.

Odds are about 50/50 I will be there right now. But that could improve if I get my Social Security disability approved in Early May. or I get in a couple good garage sales of fishing stuff.

Well it's gettin closer , the river is dropping and We still don't know if Pete is coming??? Pete whats up ????
