Ok so your fishing from shore on a 15 acre heavily pressured coffee stained pond in northern New Jersey with a Very rocky bottom. and only about 8 feet deep at its deepest. You can only fish 3 baits. What do you use? Oh and dynamite is not an option.

    1 white spinnerbait
    2 Bright colored crankbaits
    3 Top Water baits

If you know how to use it Dynamite it's a great lure. The first thing you need to do is take a Game Worden with you in the boat, lite his first and then your's. then ask him if he is going to fish or hold it.

the bass in our lake have been going nuts over a yamamoto worm fished wacky style. the watermelom/lemon worms weremost productive. That and i like to troll a black jitterbug behind the boat at dusk with my electric trolling motor.

I have to give wacky rigging a try. The rocky bottom of my pond has always intimidated me from trying it, but I keep hearing what a productive presentation it is. Funny you should mention the black jitter bug. I have one on order. can't wait to try it now.

Not all lures will work well in all situations!

Duh, really? Of course they don't. My post gives a scenario and more over asks what your favorites are. Maybe your favorites dont apply to the situation i suggested, but I'm still interested in what your three choices for a favorite lure might be. Your go to's if you will.

Not my favorite, but for pressured fish I'll start with these three.

    Yozuri Altima Pins Minnow
    Storm Hopper Popper
    Powerbait trout worms

It doesn't just depend on location.  It also depends on water temperature, cloud cover, etc.   You mentioned that the water was cloudy, so a brightly colored spinnerbait should work pretty well.  A plastic worm would be a good choice near rock formations on the bottom (if you can find them).  A Rattle Trap might be a good choice on some days, too.

Don't know about you but my wife would be pretty miffed if i used up the clorox for fishing. I got tired of live bait a while back. But quite as its kept you can put all the gulp and fancy lures you want on the line and they can't come close to a fat juicy nightcrawler.
