Rick: Not everyone on here is like that. We share info, have a few laughs and have fun. No matter what org. you belong to there is always a few people that make it diffacult for everyone and there is no way around it. Most of us just ignore the butt hole and eventually they go away. Don't let one guy spoil it for you. this is a great forum and 99% of the guys on it are good honest folks. I believe that Steve guy is gone now. Haven't seen anything from him in awhile now.

Yes, I have seen some examples of this "drama", as you put it.  Northeastbass was one, but he's been suspended.   He's insulted tons of members, just to advertise his own products.

Good comments Harry

Unfortunately...SOME of us folks on ANY kind of Forums have "buttons"....that when get pushed a certain way..end up in a firestorm.

I'll be the 1st to ADMIT that I am one of those folks

Harry brought up an excellent point about baits earlier...in particular about Rat-L-Traps. He stated that he never had any luck with them

That said...he ALSO recognized that other folks around the country DID have success with them...and so didn't bother trashing the company like some folks MIGHT have done on here.

As many years that I have spent on the Internet reading fishing articles, "lure tips" and Forums...I can TRULY say that he is MOST correct in that the "estimation" of a certain lure's effectiveness around the US of A can vary a LOT.

JMHO...and let's continue to keep this conversation civilized...AND as fisherfanatic stated in another thread...keep the comments ON TOPIC

Brand new lure on the market. Storm Kickin Live Shad. Three segmented soft plastic mold on a weight and attached VMC treble hook. I was thinking that this lure might at least swim with some form of a kick'n tail action but it merely just pulls forward. I think it's rather lousy for performance, especially since it looks so good. I guess that one lure I bought tells me to never buy another again.

I had such high expectations for this lure to catch me lots of fish too. Bummer....

I'll just jig or rip and pause to see if it will catch any fish for me. I've always done well with Storm hard baits, but somehow loussy with their soft plastic mold on lures.

I was just thinking the same thing. I guess it would "kick" more if its stopped and ripped through the water.

perhaps the Storm Kickin Live Shad is supose to represent a near dead minnow and be fished like a jig lift ,let it fall ,lift ,let it fall .

or perhaps you need to fish it like a glider . in a underwater walk the dog fashion .

Take a kid fishing , If the fish aint biting entertain them. Photobucket

That Storm Kicking Live Shad is described as a swimbait. You should only have to KISS retrieve it. No other descripton of how to fish it, but that's all up to the individual to fish it.

Northeast Bass,

I received an alert for language on this discussion thread and removed that particular post but after reading this whole thread I'm sorry to say that if you threaten another member with physical violence, even as a veiled threat, you're indefinitely suspended from the forums.

On a personal level I would like to encourage you to ease up a little on the frequent plugging of your website. I'm sure you have good products, I've watched many of the videos on your website and liked them but it's easy to reach a saturation point where too much promotion has the opposite effect and turns people away from your business. Calling other people names and threatening them could turn anyone reading your posts off on actually doing business with you. Like I said, I'm sure you've got good products and I like your videos but the hard sell repels customers.

I've also had to move many of the discussion threads that turn into a pitch for your website over to the Deals and Discounts topic area because they change focus once you start posting on them. Please balance your posts with personal interaction and less promotion of your website.

Thanks Steve.

Thanks for stopping the madness!
I am not suspended Kid! Just tired of your Crap.

My crap?

Here is something you said to Davesett2000:

"Dave I don't really know how to say this other than ..Are you Retarded or do you have ADD??"

Then you threatened to stalk him or something.

These forums aren't intended to be arenas for "pisin-matches".

It is a shame that what could have been an interesting thread devolved into a pissing contest.
