Monument Lake is a great place to go trout fishing during the day and catfishing at night. Palmer Lake is right up the road from there as well.

All I did was fish from the bank. They are both really small lakes but I usually walk away with atleast 2 trout from each lake every time I go.

11mile res is a hot spot for night fishing on the shore, boating or ice fishing also spinney mountain,Antero res and Terryall lake are all good for small boats, shore fishing or ice fishing all of these lakes hold good trout and northern pike except Antero does not have northern pike. But Antero and 11 mile also hold some good salmon. All of these lakes are in the mountains beautiful views and you can get to all of them within 1hour 40min from Colorado Springs. Some of the best fishing in Colorado!
