A steelhead has to swim up river over 700 miles to get where I live, spawn and then return to the ocean. Steelhead fishing in Idaho brings in millions of dollars and is a big business.

I am hoping the club will consider starting a thread devoted to Steelhead.

Expanding on Tom's response.  If there are a lot of people who discuss a specific sub-species they could always prefix the subject with the sub-species (Subject: Steelhead - best lure).  That would make a forum search work much more efficiently when searching for "steelhead" (or any other sub-species).  Just a tip to keep from adding more threads.

Another option would be to actually add in sub-threads if the mods wanted to go that route, but that gets to be a management nightmare and people still end up posting in the wrong threads.  That is why it is best to keep it as simple as possible and then just search.  (just my humble opinion).
