Maybe when I retire I can swing down grab turnip and come on down. Wait a minute all those hours in the same vehicle with turnip. I don't know... LOL |

After reading many posts on this forum, I think it is possible that the reason for no response to many posts may have to do with spelling, grammar, and punctuation. In order to respond to a post, one has to be able to understand what the post is about. I find myself unable to understand at least 50% of the posts on this forum. Maybe if you would figure out the correct usage for there, their, and they're, along with your and you're. Perhaps a bit of capitalization and punctuation would help as well. Use a period to end a sentence and a capital letter to begin the next sentence. Spell checking is would also be a big plus. Make your posts legible and I'll bet the response would be much improved. |

I have been a life time member forever. They sent me , once again , some promotion other than fishing - rings for my wife.. She really wanted it !!
Sounded too good to be true and it was!! I talked to some girl in India and sure enough she said only 6.95 and THEY WILL SEND ANOTHER RING EVERY WEEK . JUST GIVE HER A CREDIT CARD NUMBER!
NO WAY
I never thought they would resort to scams!!! But then all we get is promoting junk stuff , tools, insurance etc and nothing about fishing equipment trips etc.
The last best offer was a trip to Canada for 2 at 1/2 the price or 2 for one Bakers's Narrow Lodge- a great place , good food and great fishing -- long trip!! Never saw any deal again!!
I insisted they pass this on to the CEO for a response!!
And I want a response or will never promote this organization again!! And you will see a major negative on the Internet
Disappointed!! LIFER!! |

Turnip, good to see you my friend. I post once in a while, whenever there is something interesting or I feel the need to put my two cents in. LOL But I am glad to see some of the "old timers" like you and wellsley on here. The "down to earth" people. LOL
if they be more down to earth.......they be in it and wellsley, right now i think old petie is all pack. he just has ta figure out which box its all in i'll admit....all the promise of freebies drew me in along with what the mag. had to offer. now i'll say its the friends that i have been making is what its about now. the mag. is free to me-- being a lifer and such-- |

This sounds like a reasonable way to solve any problems a member might have. I really like people that try to fix things and not just complain. There is always a way to get it right and get it done. Being disgruntled will never help get problems resolved. Thanks for your care and concern. gerry p |

No organization or club is perfect. They all have certain flaws. The N.A.F.C.s biggest flaws seem to be with customer service and the inability for members to contact a company representitive to express there grievances. Also, it seems some members are receiving items they did not order or ask for and are then expected to pay for them if they are not returned (Apparently mailing them back is a hassle and money out of YOUR pocket). And clearly these are valid reasons to have complaints against the club. I am new here and also relatively new to the club but enjoy it thus far. I believe the best way to rectify these issues is for club members to band together and make our collective voices heard. One person, even two or three are easy to ignore. But one hundred, or better yet one thousand voices will make it impossible for the N.A.F.C. hierarchy to ignore! Eventually they will be forced to take action in our favor. If not, this club will wither and die. As it should, if it in fact does not treat it's club members with enough respect to pick up the phone or answer an e-mail to say, "How may I help you today?" |

Members have been complaining about this and that ever since I first joined. Some things will never change. To be honest, there have been times where I complained about stuff. But unfortunately, little to no response from any Editors. MOst of those don't want to deal with negative feedback, or just choose to ignore it. I would too if I would get payed to go on free fishing trips and write about it.
I too became a lifer for several reasons, one being that I thought the magazine was pretty good. That too has changed over the years. More advertising then reports and advise. But it still makes for some decent bathroom reading. LOL
Regardeless of all the negative things I have stated, I have made some friends here and enjoy going fishing with the ones who live in my area. I feel lucky to have found those guys and enjoyed all the trips we went on together. But rest assured, I will not waste my time anymore submitting stories or pictures to the club anymore. Don't feel like doing their job. LOL
I hope to see some of you down here some time. Don't forget to pack Lipripper!!!! I bet he will fit in the trunck or glove box, just as long as you bring him. ROFL
Ciao

Why is it so easy to post pics on other social web sites and soooo difficult on N.A.F.C's web site? We are fishermen not computer geeks. Other than that I am very happy. |

I have a problem, the club sent me a calender that I didn't order and expect me to pay for it. The club has gone as far as threatening to suspend my Life Membership if I don't pay $28 or shipping & handling charges to send back the calender that I didn't order.
Send Me A Postage Paid Envelope And I Will Send Your Calender (that I didn't order) Back!
And stop sending crap that I didn't order! |

No problem in recieving mailings you didn't order. This is what to do. When you recieve anything you did not order just send it back. DO NOT take the envalope off of it or open it. Just write on it with a marking pen (Return To Sender) with an arrow pointing to the return address. Place in outgoing mail. Good to go. Sender pays the return postage. They get the message pretty fast. Jerry2, I will send you this to your wall, if by chance you don't return to this page. lowwater |

If you receive items you didn't order and open them send them back and ask the post office for a (delivery conformation receipt). that way they have to sign for it and can't deny that they received it. The post poffice can provide you with proof that it was returned. |
