Did these come with bobber stops and beads? If not then get some.

There should also be a spring clip on the bottom, just use that to clip onto your line.

if they have a hollow tube running thru the middle top to bottom rig as a slip bobber thats where you would need the beads and bobber stops. i dont remember seeing them with the spring colip on the bottom. if they do rig as a fixed bobber

I recieved 2 Wing-It bobbers from the club a while back. Unfortunatly the ones I recieved were defective and the springs fell off immediatly! I have used them as slip bobbers, no better or worse than any other decent bobber. Tom

I try to avoid slip bobbers as much as possible.  I use a-just-a bubbles more than any other type of bobber or floaters.  They work extremely well (and they're made in the USA)!

There's lots of benefits to slip bobbers.

You can pitch it to thick cover like lilly pads or brush and have your jig fall straight down into the spot you choose vs the extension end on a normal fixed bobber that might've tangle up on the structure.

You can cast a slip bobber on very windy days and never worry about line tangle and get more distance vs the fixed bobber where the lure and bobber might be dancing and tangling in the wind.

You can set a slip bobber for depths like 10-15 feet where it's very unlikely that you can accomplish that on a fixed bobber on a cast.

The bobber type one uses, determines a lot of fishing style to be used. That's a reason why I choose to use a slip bobber a lot. I sometimes like to use even a very small slip bobber as a floater to help keep my line above water for bottom rigs. Even when setting a slip bobber and fishing a sharp drop off from 5 to 20 feet. I can set it to like 10 feet deep and pull till the lure would just hang off the bottom, on the slope where it's a high strike zone. After I catch a fish, I can repeat the same method repeatedly with ease. Without the slip bobber I would have to repeatedly drag my lure through several more casts and retrieves vs just that one cast with the slip bober. Lot's of methods to be explored with teh slip bobber and uses. It can get very techinical if I get into the nitty gritty of how I go about employing my madness methods. Yet, in it's simplicity, it works very well as a tool for catching fish.

No big deal.  I do believe the original one was just a slip bobber I could be wrong.

Here's a combination spring and slip wing it bobber with bobber stop and (I believe) bead that's very common.

Here is an external store:  http://catalog.catfishconnection.com/itemlist.php?classid=FLTWING
They will have the small wing it as just a slip bobber.  The other sizes do come in combination slip and fixed spring.

If I remeber right I though I saw the a Walmart package of wing it bobber with just the clip on the bottom only.  Solid stick and had a short top.  I think that one sold for a little less than the common combination one.

A bit off topic, but I'd like to point out that Adjust-A-Bubble floats can be rigged as a slip bobber! Tom

I've used wing-it bobbers for years as slip bobbers and yes they came with the spring attached and i took them off and also i drilled out the plastic bead on the top and replaced it with what they call a buzz bait rivet, which is aluminum. The reason why i did this was because my line would wear a slit in the bead and the line would not flow properly threw the bobber. Don't get me wrong i use all different kinds but the wing it bobbers are my favorite for slip bobbering.
