Since they closed Blue Marsh Lake, I’d like to know the closest lake I can put my boat in and fish. Any suggestions?

Why did they close Blue marsh? The closest to you Lanny might be Karchear Creek but that is trolling motor only. Not sure what the closest would be to you to run the big motor?

The water level is to low. They have the docks in front of the ramp. I just drove up to Karchear lake look nice, hows the fishing?

That isn't going to make Pete happy. He was hopeing to do some fall fishing there. Do they usually close blue marsh this time of year.

They only close for hight water & low water, but we fish in to November & December.

Thanks Lanny, we were thinking about going to Blue Marsh this morning, guess we'll go somewhere else. I've only fished Kearcher Creek a time or two with very little luck. If I recall there is a lot of shallow water and a lot of weeds on the side you launch, the other side is deeper but does'nt drop right off most places. I read they stock trout, hybrid striper, and tiger musky in there. Hard to believe as small as it is. Don't know what to recomend as far as lures? Good luck if you go!

Bluemarsh was closed because to help keep river levels up and to stop the salt line from coming up too far.
