I had once used the Thill external slider bobbers and really like how they performed for light weight jigs.  The jigs were able to pull the line through the metal eyelets much easier than a center slider slip bobber style.  There was a slight problem with that these bobbers didn't last too long.  The hardware and balsa wood just didn't take much use.  In the end, I had to doctor it up to make better use of it.  I had used some old aberdeen fishing hooks, snipped off the hook and kept just the shank.  I glued the shank to the bottom of the bobber and attached another one towards the top of the bobber.  Now I've got an external slider bobber that will take on a lot more use.  I like the concept so much, I adapted it to other bobbers as well.  They make for a very stealthy approach to light jigs.

Here's one of my favorite external slider bobber rig.  It was a single bottom slider eyelet, but it broke on me in my vest pocket.  So I've modified it to have two external  eyelets from aberdeen hooks.

Thanks Bob. I have had many troubles wit light jigs and live bait rigs. Will try this and see if it helps my problems.
