I am awaiting the call from Ted Kirkpatrick "The Great Lakes Master"
to tell me to point my Mercury Mountaineer eastward and come fish
steel and lake runs. I have a standing appointed with the huge female
steelie that schooled me last fall.


Ted is a center pin and spinner lake fisherman. Long spinning rods
with size 15 panther martins and size 3 mepps. I witnessed Ted go in to
a stretch as the other anglers were leaving and ask them how their luck
was. They grunted "Not a hit in 3 hours." Ted had a fish on before they
were out of visual contact.
