I recently became a life member,  I recieved my first bill for this last month,  this months bill has posted online,  and I owe for my third book that came.  My ? is this,  my wife is pregnant and we had a very seriuos misfourtune a few weeks back that had her in the hospital for a week,  NOW HER AND THE BABY ARE FINE!!!, but the thing is the bills are rolling in and we are on payment plans with all 7 collectors plus our normal bills rent,  car ins, car payments  ect.   I havent made the first member dues payment and now the second one is in and i recieved the third book, I know the books r optional but I want the series and I'm afraid if I send it back they wont send me the rest of the series!  My other concern is that  if I dont pay they might cancel my life membership status..  Witch should I try to fit in first, the book?(cause i think it needs to be returned in a set amount of time)  or my first payment due for life membership?  Will Nafc understand and give me an extension?

Hopefully still a LIFER Rick Coker

Call their toll free number, get the books stopped for a while (I did, permanently), tell them to put your life membership on hold due to whatever information you wish to tell them. They are not interested in "dismembering" you. At any time probably some goat shepherd in Manchuria County can get a life membership on demand if his money is there, so you can do that later too. They will not refuse your money later! They will sell those books to you whenever you decide to resume buying! They will be like the Wal Mart clerk saying "Sorry" to someone saying they sure would like the new stereo system, but don't have enough credit or money. Next time you bring it to the checkout and you DO have the money, they will gladly sell it. What you wish for will simply be delayed, so my advice is to take care of priorities, leave off the hobbies a while. Family is calling!
