Here are two really good web sites for  general knowledge  but it don't replace the one on one with some one, that's the best if you can find someone to take you out .

Welcome to the club Bill. The best way to learn how to fish, and to be sucessfull at it, is to go out and fish. Period. Use the internet to gain some knowledge. Read books and watch fishing shows or videos. Try to find a fishing buddy, someone with more experience so they can teach you. Also pick the brains of the guys in your local tackle shops. The way I learned is this..I didn't have a father to teach me as a kid. I started to fish with my neighbor about 4 years ago. He's 63 yrs old and i'm 37. He showed me basic things about fishing and boating. I really enjoyed it, so I took it to the next level. I did my homework, research, and now I know probably more than he does. LOL. Bottom line is, just get out and do it. And while your out there, try to make some friends and have a good time, because to me, thats what it is all about.

Welcome to the club and bb Bill. Try posting in the Florida thread. Maybe someone in your'e area can guide you and give you some local tips of where, when and how? Good Luck and we welcome any of your reports.
