This week in WON I heard of a bait combination called a sierra cocktail. From what I can decipher it is a combo of nightcrawler and powerbait.  Can someone tell me if two hooks (treble first then shank attached with the worm?) is the way to do this or am I completely wrong? I am going to the Irvine Lake Western Outdoor News tournament this Saturday. Thanks in advance,

There is a very successful local guide here in NE Illinois that uses a similar rig but with a minnow and crawler. He threads the worm onto the shank of an aberdeen hook and lip hooks a fathead in the bend. Tom

Irvine Lake in California? If so, just go to their web page and click on tips. It has it there.
