    hey is it odd that i hooked 4 big male kokanee salmon on lures while they are spawning. i got them by odd luck cause i was fishing for bass. if they dont do that normally then why did they attack my poppers?

    Salmon show more aggressive behavior during the spawn.  It probably wasn't intending to eat it (a spawning salmon's stomach starts to deteriorate when they spawn), but just to try and kill it.
