Did the email feature the NAFC logo?  What did it say?  How old's your bro?

    I need more info!

It's free for around $300. My life member letter said the same thing. Nothing is free, but they make the letter sound good though.

Did the email give you a link or phone number to contact?  If so, I would compare the number(s) to the NAFC phone numbers.  If some of them match, its a good chance that the email is really legit.

I have never heard of anyone recieving a free life membership. My adult son (an annual member) got a letter or email making it sound like a free membership. Then the bills for dues started coming in! If memory serves, the invitation I got could have been misunderstood to mean a free membership- statements like "Send no money" come to mind. I chose to accept the offer because the 3 years of dues I had already paid would be credited and my thinking was that I wouldn't have to remember to extend my membership each couple of years. You make your choice and pay your money! Tom

Nice quote Tom. Although most of the time the fish seem to have dominion over me. LOL.

I had to read this a couple of times but it seem sto me that there is nothing in this letter stating that it is free. it appears to be pretty much the same thing I was sent when I was offered life membership 11 years ago.

I am not trying to be negative about life membership because I think it is a good thing but for an 11 year old to be able to put out 300 bucks is another thing. anyway welcome to the club and the forum Michael.
