Are you guys still shoveling out after your first dump or is it all melting away already? My son (we're from Northern Ontario) goes to college in Rosemount, MN and was with a couple buddy's visiting the U of M last Friday night. When they got ready to go home Saturday afternoon, the fella that owned the car they were traveling in got a little nervous about driving on I-35 with 6" of snow. Guess it was a little messy on I-35 for a while .

I grew up in eastern SD (now in CT).  I would be surprised if 6" even slowed down traffic much, although I know winters haven't been the same since I was a kid.

It's not the snow that's to be worried about. It's that sloppy slushy freezing heavy stuff that makes for bad driving. Just saw a semi truck with the trailer pulling...LOL's. Not funny for that truck driver.

Since the last storm, Friday afternoon and night, I now have 16" here in south central MN. Ice was good, 4" to 6" locally, till this last storm of ten inches, real fluffy stuff shouldn't sink the ice much, and the kids are pounding the rocks out of the road ditches with thier snowmobiles.

My son called me from Burnsville, MN Saturday morning to bring him his sled so he could go ride in all that snow. LOL!
