    a) When is the best time of the year to fish a lake or 2 to enable my
Grandson to catch both Walleye and Northern Pike.?

    b) What lake or maybe 2 would the NAFC group recommend and would a Guide be
    advantageous??

Am planning on bringing him to visit and fish, based on your
    response/recommendations.
    Also for your information...
I was raised just north of the Big Whitefish lake chain of lakes that goes
all the way to Cross Lake...from the time I was 4 until I was 15...back many years
ago...now like in Norfolk, Virginia. My Grandson who is 11 has turned out to be a pretty good
fisherman and really enjoys it...so this is why I want to get him up to Minnesota to fish.

Thanks for your response and advice via email please.

If you can time your visit to July, you could go to the LaCrosse WI member meet and get all the advise, help and guiding you could ask for...Best of luck to you!

Lake Vermillion and Burntside Lake are probably your best bet for the "walleye - pike" double.

They are also 2 of the larger lakes in Minnesota as I'm sure you already know

Ray, the reference is in your opening post! Not to worry, I have days like that quite often...! I think Trev means to say that if you post your request for info concerning Minnesota fishing in the Minnesota Forum you will more likely receive a response with the info you are requesting...
