    well i was half right.....lol......yer from mi. but more in the center of the state. up until a year ago i lived just south of ya on gull lake. sorry i can't help ya out....all i have is an old flasher unit

    What are you using now? Are you using a hand auger or a spud to make your holes? If you have a hand auger you could invest in an auger adapter for a cordless drill. I've heard that they work quite well for auger diameters of 6" or smaller. I'll be able to tell you more later this season as I am going to invest in one for my 6" manual auger. I will be using it on early ice, as I have an 8" gas auger I got earlier this year to use for late ice.

    My 2 cents if your going that route and you are one who moves around a lot, buy a drill with the new batteries (lithium Ion I think?) and get the deal where they give you the extra battery. They charge faster and last much longer than the standard battery powered drill.

    hey thanks i have an ice auger but i believe that it is an eigtht inch. my buddy and i were talking about maybee fabricating a power auger with an engine from a weed wacker....i'll have to let you know how it works
