What just happened? After about an hour of on and off attempts to log in I was finally able to get past the 500 errors only to find a page I have never seen with no place to sign in. Are we "improving" again?

From what I can tell, the faster your internet sevices, the less 500 errors you get.

Today no problems. I don't think my problems are connection speed related on my end.  Although not as fast as broadband, my DSL has been perfectly adequate everyplace BUT HERE! The problem seems to me like the club server is not responding to my computer fast enough rather than the other way around. Maybe it is the club's connection? Tom

I agree with you Tom. I have broadband and it took me over 2 minutes to connect to the site today. Yesterday all I got was the 500 error message all day long. Nevere could get in.

Yes I agree that it's not on our end I'm almost positive it has to do with the Clubs servers being over loaded  and the fact that they either don't see it or don't care! I'm pertty sure it wouldn't break them to use different servers for the different clubs!!

welp, I have about had it...good luck to you all...this saddens me but I find no pleasure with this site any more (not the people). I am truly disappointed with the club and if I had known they were going to ruin this site I never would have bothered to go life member...or any kind of member for that matter...The web site is the ONLY reason I renewed my membership. I wish you all the very best. I have a good many email addys so I know how to get in touch with you.

Stay well, friends!

Sorry to hear that 'bro

Trev made a post on the Club's FB webpage about the problems.

My IE8 Browser locks up so bad loading the main Forum page that I can't even Exit out for about 15 seconds.

I even reinstalled my Windows XP Pro OS, Defragged my hard drive and haven't installed Java or Adobe.

I started sending e-mails of complaint to this address "NAMGhq@namginc.com", and got an auto-reply that states the new e-mail address is MSQualityControl@namginc.com .  Don't know if it will help, but maybe corporate QC management will do something if they get enough complaints directly in their mail box.

Dave: I doubt there is anything you or anyone else can do to to improve the situation. I remember a post from admin wes or someone that the new site ran fine in internal tests. More and more I am starting to believe that it is the club's incoming connection that is the problem. No amount of equipment will solve a connection problem. Tom

Ya know Tom, it may be the incoming connection, but it is certainly not our computer's connections.
It involves too many different ISPs for that. It has to be within the group's server.

You mention that admin wes or some one (in authority) says it works fine on their internal tests.
That may well be. I can write a webpage, and it will look fine on my computer in both IE and Firefox,
but when it is viewed by another computer, it doesn't look correct.

Maybe the wizzards up there in lala land should try connecting, uploading, chatting, or whatever, from
a computer on another server. I would imagine they would start to see what are complaining about.

I believe that most, if not all, the complaints about this site are legit, and the club(s) should take notice
and do something about it. If it means that Steve has to take one or two less fishing trips, or the guys
in charge of the other clubs had to cut back a bit, then so be it. They need to hire someone who
actually knows something about web design and bandwidth and spend the money to get this crap fixed.
If it is a connection problem, then again, spend the money and do what is right by the members.

It is terrible the way the complaints are ignored. It wouldn't even be so bad if they just gave us a stock
answer once in a while. But no, complete silence. Most of us here are grown-ups and we can take the truth.
If they don't know what is wrong, then let us know. If they just don't want to spend the money, then let
us know. If they are broke, then let us know. Just don't treat us like a bunch of nincompoops.

Hey admin Wes, or someone else that can give us a reasonable answer, please do. It is better than treating
us like mushrooms.

Hey ramseyetcs et al;

At least we got stock answer number 7.        Too bad they have to announce it on fb instead of making a statement here on the forums.

But, at least we got some kind of response!

What a crock! If I wanted to use Facebook I would log in on Facebook. The club can't even address its members on the forum? Or is using the forums too slow for them also?

Good point!  No arguments from here!!!  Although I especially liked the '...IT is well aware...' part,  'cause we are well aware if the lack of response WE are getting.

Pete, my interest in this site has been gradually eroding over the years due to the lack of concern shown by the Club when its members are offering feedback. It is why I never bothered to become a life member. I've been a charter member for close to 10 yrs now but I can walk away without being annoyed that the Club took my money and then turned their back on me. I've made many good friends through this site and hope to stay in touch with them - so don't go hiding buddy!

PEGSGUY it worked fine on the initial set-up because it wasn't on there main server plus there was only a handful of us accessing data .The connection problems arose when they moved it to the main server . Which tells me the server can't handle the work load that is asked of it .

they are our web host,, "power'd by Ning".. its a great change,, on the street machine site a coupy years ago we were like this,, just a mess.. now, its great, easy pic loading, very fast pages, very user friendly.. believe me, wes knows the difference, heh heh,, i also think that the motorcycle club is ning supported as well.. now i may be wrong about how the ning would work here,, hell of a lot more members here, so that may make a difference.. but,, our community is 2nd to none at the street machine site.. its very discouraging to come here and try to navagate and enjoy the site,, sorry,, just giv'n an opinion.. be safe folks have a great day
