Here's what I did...and I started this with no files in my Temp Internet Files folder.

I have a link in My Favorites / Bookmarks to a Login page on here....that once I do log in... it takes me straight to my messages.

So I...have been to these webpages...

    1. Login Page
    2. My Messages page

Then I clicked on "My NAFC" and then "Forums"...then clicked the link to "New Changes to FishingClub.com".

So at that point...I've been on 4 webpages.

Once I did that...I took a screenshot of all the Javascripts in my Temp Internet Files folder..and here's my summation.

    1. e.nvero.net...data collection
    2. ajax.googleapis....data collection
    3. google-analytics....data collection
    4. flashwrite 2mdn.net....data collection
    5. all.js - Facebook connect...probably collecting data

Folks on here had problems way back when with just the nvero Script. Now we have at least 4...probably 5 collecting data on users.

And this doesn't include what Microsoft and everyone's ISP's are doing.

What exactly does all that mean? Are you saying that this is an invasion of privacy or something? Or are you just saying that that is why the website is so slow?

I am sure that it is both. I am seriously considering establishing an email account solely for the purpose of accessing this site and doing it from a computer at the local library! Fortunately the library is only a few blocks away and a computer is almost always available. I have had some strange emails come in on an address that I only use for club buisiness which gives me reason to wonder! Tom

That is what is recommended. Creating a disposable email account. I wish I would have done that. You wanna here something messed up? Everytime I write a topic in the forums, it automatically subscribes me to it, and sends me an email everytime someone comments on any one of them or comments on my profile. So i have been getting at least a dozen emails or more a day from "Memberservices" and i am sick of it. There is a box on the page that says unsubscribe but it does not work. I am still receiving a constant flow of emails on a daily basis, until finally I reported it as spam and it goes into my spam folder which now, is getting filled up every few days. This is not okay. This is not how you run a website...

Even a disposable address offers only so much protection. It's good protection against spam but does nothing to keep a good spyware program from collecting data. That is why I'm thinking about using a 'neutral' computer for some of my correspondence. Tom

Here's something else goofy I've noticed. Anytime I go to a page that has either the "woot woot" or the "whistling" Smiley on them...I get slowness and blocked cookies for them at the bottom of my IE8 Explorer bar (Status Bar). Notice that the web address for them is "nafc" and not "portal.fishingclub".

Bro you have way to much time on your hands LOL

slowness has always been a issue .... however I for one think all the added links you have posted are not the problem. some of them you can turn off under my settings... here's what one of the web masters stated two upgrades ago with reguards to why the site slow down the club use's the same sever to run most of if not all 12 of the clubs... if there's a problem or a overlode by one of the site it will slow down and or overload the others ...

Question for WES the new web master Does the club still run all the clubs from the same server ?

    Merry Chirstmas to you all
