the new Suffix 832- absolutely love it . It will give you another 20yds to every cast, is almost without sound on retreive. and will sink which helps greatly with deep divers. If you have not spooled up with this yet what are you waiting for? |

Thanks for the input. I just bought a spool of 30# test line. Can't wait to try it out. |

woo2, is it any more abrasion resistant or strong than other braids? I haven't gotten a spool yet, hopefully one will end up in the ol' stocking. |

I had gotten some 50# test and gave it a whirl on the stainless steel line guides to check for noise. It was more noisy compared to 50# Spiderwire Stealth. |

I have heard that the Spiderwire Fluorobraid (similar to 832) is even louder through the guides. I am looking forward to trying one of the two this spring, it will be nice to have a braid thar sinks. Tom |

Fresh loose test of Sufix 832 braid line strength. I got some 20# and did my own mumbo jumbo knot and came up with only about 19# of knot break. Well line broke right at the knot so it's a knot break for what I'm calling it and not a knot failure of any sort. Yes I tested the palomar knot as well and it only gave me a 17# 8 oz. knot break. Compared to the following of near equal diameter .23 mm: Performance braid of 20# with 18# 13 oz. knot break. Fireline braid 20/6 with 24# 9 oz. knot break. Fireline Original 14# with 19# 12 oz. knot break. In terms of strength Fireline braid will be what I'm going with. In terms of sink feature that Sufix 832 is useful. In compareing 8 strands braided Fireline braid 30/8 with Sufix 832 in equivalent 30#. the Fireline braid is smoother and softer. The Sufix 832 has more body to it. Sufix 832 braid isn't a perfect answer, nor clear winner, but merely another useful tool with it's own unique properties. |

It's been around 4 months for me, and I'm loving it. The line performs excellent. |

In my opinon Sufix 832 outperforms it hands down. I fished power pro for a long time its great line. When I tried 832 I knew I was never going back. Holds knots very very well and is strong as steel but its most important feature it is SUPER sensitive you will feel everything |

Just remember that 832 sinks and is not always the best choice- IE topwater baits. |

No, it won't sink a fair sized bait but due to the line sinking and developing a 'bow', you will lose some sensetivity. A sinking line will work for topwaters but is not the best choice. |

Been using Power pro for quite awhile now and see no reason to switch to any other brand . Good knot strength no problems with noise to speak of lasts better than Spiderwire !
