OK, I have been using Firefox to access the site for a week now and here are my observations. The site is a bit less slow on FF. It's the difference between snail and tortise. FF does seem to eliminate some of the "running around in circles" that the site does in IE8. I don't like the way FF handles my email, so I will continue to use IE for most of my browsing. Just thought I would pass this along. Tom

Greg: I doubt you will see this until Monday but the site went from slow to glacial tonight. Took me about 5 tries to login and posts are even slower than normal. Tom

Greg, I am having no trouble at all. Clicked on the tread and it took 4 seconds for this page to come up.
I use IE. After clicking Submit this morning it posted in about 5 seconds. My wife uses Mozilla Firefox, I will log onto it tomorrow
and see if there is a differance.

You must be one of the lucky few that actually have fast internet service.

Well I have found this site to be painfully Slow !
I am wondering if there was an atttack by Bots or something !
1 Thing that should help is to Put the section for finding a fishing Partner by State
All in 1 Group that would eliminate the Long List on the Front Page of the forums !
It also takes Longer downloading with Ads that are Moving Pictures !
All in All this is a Great Site
Thanx
CM

Hi Greg,
I have a HP compaq presario PC running Windows Vista Home premium. Yahoo or Mozilla Firefox, it makes no differance
speed is very good and has been for at least 10 day now. I can switch forth and back between windows and it never takes more than
4 to 10 seconds to switch or post. Oh yes we are hooked to Frontier, formally Verizon. There is nothing you can do to make
it better for me. Thanks for the fix about 10 days ago. If I have a problem you will here from me. lowwater

A heads up on site maintenance.

There were some minor problems occurring on Friday, early Saturday, due to heavy load. That's good news.

In response, the health monitoring and automatic site recycling tools have been turned back on (were off for the migration). Every evening at 2am CST, the sites will 'reboot' themselves and come back on line. Hopefully fresh and renewed and ready for another day of mad club site activity.

-Joel

I've seen a dramatic increase in speed during the last few days, too.

I still have time to play the Jeopardy theme
between the pages changing after you click
a topic or when you reply to one.
I also get the theme when I go from the
Home Page to the Forums.
