I havent been back since my last post about how slow it was ,thinking they must have fixed it by now WRONG IT'S SLOWER NOW THAN IT WAS THE LAST TIME I POSTED..Then when i went to my nafc and clicked forum the only thing there was private message WHAT A JOKE....

WE should just bombard them with calls asking when this is going to be fixed..Just so they can have an idea that this is not acceptable..Im a life member FIX THIS OR SEND SOME OF MY MONEY BACK.I'll send all the crap you have sent me back give me my money.....

Meh. I feel like I got suckered in just the same as about 90% of the members on here. Saw an ad on TV about "free product testing" and checked it out...now wishing I would have spent my $12 on a 12 pack and some worms. (Actually I intend on cancelling my subscription to get my $12 BACK). I dont really care about getting free stuff, but figured if I got something, hey good for me. This is the slowest, worst built site that I've ever visited. I have actually 'hacked' into other groups/members accounts by simply changing #s in the address bar...Steve PennIz is a{1}*********...the magazine is literally 3/4's 3/4 page ads...90% of the forums are people{1}*****ing about "not getting their free gifts" or threads from 8 years ago...overall I totally agree with mpaul...WHAT A JOKE

Those threads from 8 years ago were brought back up for the newer members that never saw them. This site has been poorly run since 2007 when they made the first major changes. But before you wack those older threads you should explore a little...

Anyone who thinks this is a club for fisherman and their interests are mistaken.

The owners of this venue know what they are doing and it is all about business and money, period.

I do say that I have met some neat guys and had a few enjoyable days fishing with a few other members.

Overall I would say I have had a good time being a member. But there should be some improvments, and as for all of the free gifts and testing

forget it. You will NEVER get your money back in freebeeeeeees.

I agree with lowater! The only advantage to this website is having the opportunity to meet & communicate with folks that share our enthusiasim for fishing....I was a member in the 90s but dropped my membership because I had no way of communicating with fellow members. One day I received a letter from the clubinviting me to become a "lifer" and I could meet fellow club members on this website.

Woo wee, how great that was! You see, the site I was first introduced to was great, everything worked and was much faster.

Long story short, the true value to this membership is meeting and getting to know fellow members. I would HIGHLY recommend that the membership take the opportunity to actually meet with and fish with fellow members....Do yourself a favor and go to a member meet!

Yes, I agree with lowwater also, except the one line I quoted above. You can get your money back in freebies...but you have to participate in the programs they offer. Most members are so quick to say "Hey, don't send me anything I didn't ask for!" that they miss out on a ton of freebies. I have piles of line, knives, lures, hooks, bobbers, scales, pliers, you name it! Then include a lifetime of free magazines(don't bash all the ads in the magazine...they're more informative that the stories!)...and that great life member rod&reel...I have way more than my $300 life member investment! Then there's the best part, all the great fellow fishermen I've met here. So I guess I'll have to say it like RRichards 151: "I'm a happy as a clam!"

I don't usually come to the forums any more. Mostly just to answer posts that I am subscribed to.
When I visit the members here, it is usually in chat.

Met lots of great folks here and in chat. Have even met a member or two in person. Plan to meet more this year. To me, that's what is worth the price of admission, not the beads and trinkets given out to entice people to join!

Yea Mo, I forgot about the stuff I have won in the "gear give away"! The trolling motor & the lures, but like you say, ya gotta play ta win! I remember when saltydan used to post regularly on this site...

Wow is this SLOW, It took about 3 minutes just to get here so I could complain!! It sure has turned me off. The shame of it all is that nobody seem to hear us or do anything about it. I haven't posted anything in so long just because nobody seems to care about the members complaints.  I've been a life member since 03. If I had to do it all over again I would not have darkened these doors!! I know now that this is an advertising company (BBB) and they make money off of us fisherman among other sites like NA hunting etc, and really don't offer much. Unless you like things that are made in China!! I don't! And windup sending everything that says China on it, back.
      I have always liked the members , cause we have so much in common and this is our site, which has brought us together. I just wish the big wigs (dickheads) would do SOMETHING about it, after all we pay for this and I feel we are being taken advantage of. But I guess they just don't care!
    Thanks for hearing me{1}*****. Now lets just go fishing.
