Anyone fish Hog Canyon ( or Hog Lake) or Fourth of July Lake for trout in the winter?

I was cruising the WDFW website last night and it looks like there are a few lakes open to winter trout, these were the closest to me so I figured I might give them a shot this weekend or next.  Any advice for these lakes?

    Good morning Thomas.
Keep a close eye on the weather. If we get snow the lake road can get some really bad drifts and there is a pretty steep hill to climb coming out.
If you don't mind a bit of a hike I would go to 4th of july.
When you pull into the launch area you will see a trail heading off the south side of the lake.
Hike down to the far end and you will see a large point that sticks out into the lake.
I have done very well in that area. A single Potski egg on a egg hook about 10 feet under a float has been good in the past.
We have had a lot of rain the past few days so becareful on the ice.
Drove by Sprague Sunday and saw quite a few guys out there.

Thanks for the tip YB, unfortunately I didnt make it out (terrible head cold got me over the weekend). I'm going to try and give these a shot soon, may need to wait until Feb or March though, its been way too cold here, we will see. I'll give a report (and hopefully some pics) if I make it out.

    Thanks again!
