I have never quite understood topics like this.  I assume clubs are groups of people who come together for similar likes or "dislikes".  So when we say the club has gone downhill we are writing about one another.  As I read these responses it appears to me we are not writing about one another but about those who lead us.  Help me, "How did this club come together?"  Surely, it is more than a group of people who just send money to some bottomless account.  It appears to me that unless we find a way to communicate with one another the leadership will do little more than find ways to solicit more and more money from club members.  I joined to be together with men and women that enjoy fishing.  How did we get into this soliciting mess and how do we get out?  Before I close, let me once again say THANKS! to those brave men and women who stand guard at freedoms doors and wish all of you a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

They'll send you an invitation '76...if you've been a member longer than 5 minutes you should have got one by now! lol

It has long been club policy to credit any current dues towards a life membership-IE: I took a three year membership and had about 2 years left on it when I became a life member. The club credited all 3 years dues against my life member dues. If whoever you may talk to doesn't offer that, I would tell them "thank you, no" and wait for them to get back to you!

I stand corrected '76. It takes 4 months to get an invitation.  SmileyCentral.com

The site seems pretty good to me. I do wish they would be more up yo date on the gear giveaway an the click and win. Please, why not send out notification and tell us when the drawing is. Also dont delete it from the page once there's a new one. Now there are 15 contests going to e drawn this February. Does anybody ever win these things?
