Bought my new canoe, and will pick it up Monday. It is a 12' length X 38" width and 34 pounds made by Radisson Canoe Inc. This canoe is 5052 Marine Aluminum. 2 layers and foam layer between them.It also has 2.5% magnesium reduces punchering the hull only just dent it. Then it has 2 sponson foam for balance and keeping it unsinkable. It has 2 leather wicker seat bench and yoke carry. The color I got was Birch Bark. Cost me $600.00 + tax. can't wait to get on the river with it. |

Congratulations, bet you are going to have a good time with it. Want to make it go, try a kayak paddle. |

Wow, that looks pretty fancy for a canoe Dennis. Sure looks like it ought to get a guy around in style! Nice pictures too btw. |

I had been converting the center of the canoe into a solo canoe. It still has the rear seat but the front was removed. Made a ( 5 ) rod holder for the rear and it has 2 anchor chain line with dog leash locking mechanism I ran eye bolts all along the top rim and then had a plumbing pipes supply's for the from and the rear. You don't want to have real heavy weights and also make sure you have a sharp knife to cut the anchor line if you need to. It's cheaper to lose a chain then those mushroom or river anchors. Another thing on the chain put the chain in all terrain bike tube and put wire ties on it. I'll be posting photo's of it when completely finished. |
