Hello Everyone, Last Fall I purchased a Fiberglass John Boat for cheap.. it is a great boat, however I plan on making it a little more eye catching.  I'm planning on doing a camo theme seeing as how the boat is already green.  Any Suggestions on the type of paint that I should use for this job??  Thanks for your help!

There is a company called supermarine that makes paint specifically for boats. Look it up on google haha.

Since everybody is hung up on football (since Falcons flamed and burned--I've given up football and its on to NASCAR).  My buddy Jeff Gordon hopes to finish higher than his race number #24, so let me suggest some of that good DuPont Imron paint--faster than a speeding bullet.  I use it to paint jigs and lures.  Have to be careful about the weather or it may "orange peel" on you.  I have painted several bass boats with it--not sure if it helped the fishing but all the boats turned out OK.  If you aren't familiar with paint gun you might check on one of the car dealerships or a private painter to help you with your project.  Uncle Tom
I built my own lure company as a young man--thus the name UncleTomsJigs. It grew so well I decided to give it up and go fishing with family, friends and especially grand children. I became disabled as a United Methodist Pastor IN 2002 and retired here in Coastal Georgia on a 10 acre lake where I continue to fish despite my disabilities. My wonderful wife and I enjoy fishing together. God has blessed us in so many ways and we pray the same for you. I am excited about having so many new friends all over this great country.

A word of warning about Imron. While it is great stuff and very durable, the fumes are very toxic (cyanide) and Imron should only be applied outdoors or with the aid of a forced ventilation hood. Even outdoors can be a problem. Not really the kind of thing an amatuer should be messing around with. Tom
