Spent today at the outdoors show in Rosemont and asked the Dupage FPD reps that were there about any new lakes. Harrier was not familliar to them. Is this lake part of the Mallard Lake property? Tom

This lake is part of Pratts Wyane woods. From what i know about it, it was opened in 2009, stocked with smallmouth, walleye, perch, and channel cats. the lake already contained lmb, crappie, bluegill, and bullhead. I will be leaving shortly to ice fish there today. I will post my finding tonight.

As promised here is my review of this lake. There are lots of interesting features on the lake floor, from steep slopes to rock piles and brush. Saw a few nice bass on the aquaview, caught decent bluegills and perch. missed a walleye on a tip up, caught half dozen decent perch on tip ups. used waxies and fatheads for bait. I believe this lake has some real potential as currently it is a catch and release only lake. worth checking out again.

If you would like I would be willing to meet you there sometime after the thaw for a bit of soft  water fishing. I don't get into the hard water thing! Tom

Yeah that would be cool.  I have heard that there is little shore access due to overgrown weeds along the shore,  but I will be going there for sure this soft water season.
