I FISH YEAR ROUND AND NOTHING HERE ALSO. AND THEY ASK FOR MORE FIELD TESTERS THEY CANT SUPPLY THE ONES THEY HAVE NOW DUH, I WAS TOLD IF YOU UPDATE YOU GET PUT BACK AT THE BOTTOM OF THE LIST SO I DONT DO THAT BUT I"AM GLUED TO THE BOTTOM BEEN WAITING 1 1/2 YRS AND THEY KEEP SAYING I"AM NEXT
jsanchez,

I will post on this thread a similar answer and addendum to the reply I posted on your similar post on another forum, r.e. product testing: The Club is not asking for "more field testers," per se, but rather promoting the Club to people who are not yet Club members and, in doing so, promoting the product-testing program as one of several benefits (see link):

http://join.fishingclub.com/acq/def...n=9F1CPODC

And while waiting-list time for product-testing has been longer than we all would like (I was a Club member before I was hired here, so I DO understand), the more members the Club has, the more attractive it is to companies to partner with the Club and make products available for the program.

I asked my colleague in Member Services to review your account. Our records indicate you received hooks to test in March of last year and that you submitted a new product-testing application in June of last year. So, it appears that it has not been more than 1 1/2 years that you have received something, as you indicated above.

While we wish we could send product-test items more often, we do state in our materials that it can take as long as a year or more for your "turn" to come up, so to speak.

If you have additional questions or concerns, feel free to contact me directly at ghuff@namginc.com. But let’s not continue having the same conversation on multiple forum threads. You can me email directly, rather than continuing to post redundantly.

That said, if you joined the Club solely for product-testing and not the magazine, access to the fishing forums and the collective wisdom of the other Club members, and/or the chance to win prizes or the other member benefits, someone from Member Services can contact you and cancel your membership and refund a portion of your dues, minus the price and shipping costs of the Life Member rod and reel, if you so choose.

However, I hope you don't choose that option, as your profile indicates that you have posted almost 550 times to the forums and I'd regret losing your voice in the community, and would regret you losing the opportunity to interact so robustly with your fellow members.

Sincerely,
NAFC Social Media Editor Greg Huff

Hello Greg et al;

Yes, Jesse is one of the good guys! He not only knows how to fish for the species he wants to fish, he is one great guy! I met him a few weeks ago, and had the pleasure of fishing with him. He is willing to share his knowledge, equipment, and favorite honey hole. He talks positively of NAFC, and has the decals prominently displayed on his truck. He takes his grandchildren fishing, perpetuating fishing to a new generation. He is a plus to this organization!

OK, now that I am done sucking up, when are you gonna send me the new ranger Bass boat, motor, and trailer to product test!?? LOL

Have a good one,

Salty Dan

I have been a Life Member since the '80s I have received thre items to test. A shake and bake type deal, the little night lights and the knotless kine connector thing. I live in Alaska and I don't ice fish (too cold for me) so the chem lights are pointless in 20 hours of light. Who in their right mind is going to bread Salmon? And those little knotless thingys aren't going to hold up to a Salmon on your line. So it all was useless.

Now they want us to become Thophy Life Members to get the good stuff to field test. What happened to the products I was told were held for Life Members to test. They tell you what it takes to get you in then you get whats left in the box the vendors send in bulk, you know like for door prizes. Oh well at least they still send me books and coins made in china to buy. LOL!!! Did any of you buy the knives? I bought the first one that came in. The brass bolsters lost their brass color, the NAFC decal fell off and the imitation bone handle cracked. Well enough venting, were off to football practice.

I have tested a few nice items, and even had to turn them down when they had a trolling motor to test. Now that we have a boat, i wish I had accepted it and tested it on a friends boat.

I've tested a handful of items. Tech-ice, a croaky type device that covered your sunglasses when you weren't using them, a dog fish knife (Super sharp, but completely useless for fishing), Trout power bait (not sure why I got that it's rare for me to fish for trout & I didn't catch any), a live well additive that was supposed to help the health of your fish (my boat doesn't have a live well, I contacted the club on that one.) and the last thing was supposed to be furry fish bait. It never came, and that was OK. Once you test something, sign up again. If you get something you can't use contact the club, because if you don't file a report they'll take you off the list. I got to test a filet knife also. The things I liked the best, the filet knife, Tech ice & the croaky thing. I tried to find the croaky thing and tech ice, but they were nowhere to be bought. I still have the filet knife.
