We just started the tournaments last year in the club. The first one was at Alum Creek, the next at Indian lake and now CJ Brown. We will probably have one in the fall also. Buckeye lake is a possibility. How far is that away from you. Well good luck with you catfish tourneys this year.

If the weather EVER changes to sunny and dry again HOPE to add 5 new sets/ groups to the lake by the time of the tournement; you can judge for yourself if they worked, of course some will out propuce others...

Skeeter, have not seen you on here for awhile. I was just checking to see if you and Herchel are still going to be fishing with us on the 21st. Have you talked to Bigdog lately. I was hoping he could make it down also. I am told that there is some really good spots from the shore to fish if he does not have a boat.

Have'nt made contact with Big Dog. Left note on his door but never got call back. Don't know if I will be able to come or not. Motor for boat in shop. Waiting on technician to call me. Stan if you are reading this, get off the 'puter and put my motor back together. It was supposed to be done this weekend. And I wanted to run it a couple of times before I haul it across Ohio and find out it's not running right. And I don't bank fish much anymore cause those screws in my legs have been hurting more since I have been getting older. Or maybe it's just the bad weather.

Skeeter, can you get on the Ohio chapter site as a guest? Lowell Turner who lives down there and is fishing with us has a lake map with GPS points and also has directions on how to get to the boat Ramp. It will be under the tournament thread - CJ Brown. See you on the 21st.

Skeeter, would guess take US 71 South to US70 west to US 40, 1st light after getting on US 40 is Bird rd. Take bird rd due north untill you see a large lake...Main boat ramp will be to your Left...right now CJ is up about 3.5` over summer pool; crappies are starting to hit better...see you all there.

Stan's ears must have been burning. Motor is ready. Got to pick it up Friday. Taking the boat down to Stans' house to remount motor on boat. We were thinking of running through the woods. My Explorer does NOT get good mpg. I got a Ohio Gazetter. Is there a bait shop around there that will be open? Or should I load up the minnie well here and run the aerator off the pickup? Hershy wants me to come down Friday and head down there Friday night. He is not eager at all. C u all on the lake at daybreak?

Coming in off US 40 on the East side of Springfield from US 70 East; 1st light is Bird Rd. Turn Right and Jake`s Marine is on the corner. Generally GOOD bait. Get back onto Bird Rd and go due North to the lake. Other bait shops are the Boat house on Croft Rd (turn Left onto Robert Eastman Rd just before entering the Park); BEST selection of bait is C and J`s on SR 4 (if you want it, THEY got it) get onto Robert Eastman Rd, turn Right at stop sign, onto Croft Rd. Turn Right at light onto SR 4, go N 1/2 mile. Limited parking, usually crowded, guess why! Alot of bigger crappies are being caught on the deeper edges of the cover, try "Glo" jigs and a minnow. A snagless jig will get you into the thick stuff and help pry them out of it...

Hey Skeeter, what happened to you at weigh-in time. We waited for you. Did not know how to get a hold of you on the lake. How did you and herchel do fishing? We will do another tournament in the fall. Not sure yet on location.

Engine problems. Headed home. Refueled boat, made some adjustments and went to Clearfork Reservoir for 3 hours. Filled a five gallon bucket with gills and crappie. HERSHEL would like to suggest a panfish tourny at either Clearfork or Pleasant Hill Res's. I have to change cables on boat today. Make this chicken delivery Tuesdaay AND start my new job as Safety Supervisor for a trucking outfit in Dover. Actually at this time, anyone with FLATBED experience and has a PROFESSIONAL attitude, contact me.
