OK I'm done with my hunting (except groundhogs). So I ask.
    Are you ready to fish?
I am! I'm starting to feel the itch. I can feel those big Blue Cats a callin and can't wait to attack the river for 'dem Smallies.

I'm a long way from being physically ready to fish. I am there mentally! From the looks of recent weather, I'll have the tackle ready long before mother nature says I can get out. Tom

Hell yeah I'm ready to fish, I'm also ready to hunt some small game, can you tell me of any good rabbit, squirrel, or groundhog spots in MD?  I got my .22 not about a year ago and its been collecting dust.

Tom: You will get out soon enough bro.I have no doubt about that.

Bass25: Round here in Frederick I haven't seen a bad place. As soon as the weather warms (this week). I should start seeing Groundhogs. Open year round on my property. Just check the DNR regs. before you go out busting them.

We went down to Fletcher's boat House (DC) to see what was up. And we saw nothing! Well one Cormorant. No fish at all. We knew it was too early for the shad and Herring to be running. But soon enough they will show up, and with them the Stripers and Blue Cats. We want the Cat's but are not mad about the other species.

I have been out twice with no luck... once on the Potomac and once at Black Hills in Boyds.

I am heading out Friday afternoon and maybe tomorrow for lunch for private fishing.

I am getting my gear ready for the Big Blues down at Ft Washington but need someone to go with. I dont have a boat so I will be going to the lake house.
Just need to get the line and the pole and I will be ready... oh... not having bait is an issue as well. I heard Gizzard Shad is the best so I need to find a Bait Shop that has something I can use.

Let me know when you go out for the smallies.... love taking my ultra-lite out.

Well I got down there... hit the Blues really well! Got one big one (34.7lbs) and lost a 50+lber but caught a 4 more that were fun. Also caught a few good channels as well at another spot but that wasn't the goal.
