Was wondering if anyone has used the artifical structure that can be purchased commerically?
I fish a community lake of 20+ acres, max depth of 15-17 feet. Good bass lake with a lot of catfish and some good crappie.
There used to be some christmas trees around several docks, but they have gone. Was just wondering if the artificial structure really worked.

When fishing off Maui Hawaii we were always looking for anything flooting in the water. It attracted bait fish and hence preditors. Fish are looking for a place to hide from preditors or to ambush pray.

Before I gave a damn about the water I fished. My friends and I used to pile up shopping carts in various area of a local "lake". After a few weeks it was teaming with fish of all sizes.
Now I tend to make sure tree branches and brush that are near my favorate spots find there way into a "pile".
